Fashion in Motion

Today I am very excited, because I am attending Fashion in Motion at my favourite Victoria and Albert museum. It’s a series of catwalk shows by well-known designers, that they do once in a while. This time the designer is noone less than ERDEM MORALIOGLU. The half english, half turkish, Royal College of Art graduate is known for his beautiful dresses, use of bold colours and amazing prints. I can’t wait to see the collection on the runway and of course report back to you.
He has done a stint in New York for Diane von Furstenberg, which can only be a good thing, and founded his own label Erden with ready-to-wear collection in 2005. Since then he has been very popular with celebrities and worn by the likes of Keira Knightley, Claudia Schiffer, Thandie Newton, Chloe Sevigny and the list goes on. Of course he has been recognized for his work as well. In 2007 he won the Swarowski British Fashion Council Enterprise Award and British Fashion Council’s Fashion Forward Award in 2008. He was also nominated by the British Fashion Council for Designer of the Year of 2009. In four years since he entered the fashion world, that is quite an achievement!
Have a stylish day.
