New York Fashion Week so far

I don’t know how about you, but once the fashion month kicks off, I am glued to a screen to watch live streams, twitter and instagram (for all the behind the scenes) and check out Style.com to swoon over all the proper images. So far I’ve seen some amazing shows from New York and am excited for things to come.

What have been your favourite shows/looks so far?

Helmut Lang
Effortlessly cool, I’ve been a long time fan.
Jason Wu
Pretty and feminine. Everything I want in clothes. Peplum is still going strong and love the polka dot details.

Prabal Gurung
Military inspired but still very feminine. Great detailing.
Herve Leger
Herve Leger never ceases to amaze me. Season after season they produce highly desirable dresses. I want them all!
TibiGotta love a skirt and thigh-high boots, chunky knits and well cut trousers.
Have a stylish day.

Meeting the icons

Yesterday I had a great day full of fantastic appointmens and events. I will write more about the other ones next time, but for today let’s concentrate on attending of announcing the winner of the International Woolmark Prize European Award. See bellow Christian Winjants with one of his winning designs and also the official photo of the judges: Dean and Dan of Dsquared2, Alber Elbaz (Lanvin), Tim blanks (style.com), Alexandra Schulman (Vogue UK), Giles Deacon and Christine Arp (Vogue Germany). I apologise for the quality of my pictures as my camera is broken..

It was such an honour to be part of this event and be in the same room as many of my icons! I am the biggest fan of Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz and now I love him even more as a person, because he was very funny a generally lovely. He announced the winner and I was hoping to have a photo taken with him but he was busy so I asked Dean and Dan of Dsquared2 instead, who were lovely too.
We sipped champagne and nibbled on canapรฉs and it was a great afternoon.
I wore another sale score from Zara (skirt) and a top from Nelly. Outfit post coming soon.
Have a stylish day.

Halloween is coming

How the time flies.. We’re already half way through October, meaning Halloween is just round the corner. There will be lots of parties around and with it a perfect opportunity to dress up and get creative. In case you’re stuck for ideas I’m bringing you a little inspiration from one of Carine Roitfield’s parties – The Vampire Ball. Vampires are tres cool at the moment, what with Twilight and many TV series, so now is your chance to show your take on the “trend”. Perfect time to be playful with your make up ala Roitfield ladies ( both Carine and Julia otherwise kept it quite simple and chic) stand out with interesting headwear like Anna dello Russo with Giles’ SS 12 swan and don’t forget little details. Olivier Theyskens went for colored contact lenses, whilst Abbey Lee Kershaw picked fake teeth to finish off her outfit. I’m also loving Ciara in Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, whose fake blood is cool enough.
Looking at these got me well excited for Hallowen and I’m already planning my outfit. Are you? Are you going to any parties?
Have a stylish day.

My favourite pre-fall collection

I promised you two posts about my favourite designers and here is the second one. This time about Christopher Bailey. I’m not gonna show you many pre-fall collections, but all of his work is always so good I just can’t help myself. I love every single piece. I could easily put all the pictures here (courtesy of style.com) but you can have a look there. I’ve tried my hardest to pick my favourite pieces although I would buy all if I could. There are some amazing dresses that can be worn day to night, amazingly cut trousers that will suit everyone and his signature trench coats with clever detailing. Dear Christopher you’re spoiling us for choice. Burberry Prorsum never looked better!
Have a stylish day.

favourite show of New York fashion week

New York Fashion week has finished and I have to say, I have seen some amazing shows. Well only online thanks to style.com unfortunately, but I’ve enjoyed it never the less. Some amazing outfits are awaiting us in the next autumn/winter season, so despite it meaning it’s gonna be cold again(and this longest winter hasn’t even finished yet!), we’ve got something to look forward to. We can make it a stylish season no matter what the weather and we can definitely keep warm, without loosing our style creds. I’ve picked my favourite show and I can tell you it was hard! But in this collection I literally loved every outfit, all the clothes and accessories in amazing colours. I would love to show you all the pictures, but that would take up a lot of space. Here are my top ones and if you want to see more, check out style.com. or just click on this link.
